Merch Gwyar got me wondering the other day, obviously the GE thing cannot last forever lest it simply turn into a load of boring posts where I tell people what to buy and sell each day...

How about PMing me either on Sals, Tip it, Zybez or HQ your daily money routines whether they be for 10k, or 100k per day and I will publish them here along with your name and link to your blog if you have one?...though it would be better if they were little known, or used little tricks to get more efficiency.

Anyways, here is my little effort and it comprises of simply running to your kingdom everyday, and picking up empty and water filled vials along the way in Relekka...for an investment of 7.5M at a 100% approval rating you will usually get back a return of 150k-250k profit.

All you need do is put 75k a day into your kingdom and then I personally do 100% farm, and 50% herb since prices for those are very high relatively right now...when a construction update comes out putting it to 100% mahogany might be worthwhile :)

As that would be patently be a physical impossibility but some of the readers here will remember me wondering whether to buy any dragonhides a few days ago.

They went up and are now selling very nicely for 1860 :D

My prediction for this morning turned out well too, gold ores and red chinchompa are both up, +11 and +23 respectively...

But secondary to that I was chatting in Merch Gwyars clanchat and mentioned gold rings, that they seemed to be very low...I wonder if anyone followed my advice and bought any? :)

Unfortunately, dragon bones and blue dragonhide are sinking, but I wonder if they will jump up later after the Grand Exchange has weeded out all the panickers?

Anyways, on a different note some may like to note that adamant arrowtips buy for min+1-2gp but sell middle price so if you buy 10-20k per night you can make yourself a fairly easy 70-150k, beats me why anyone would wish to know this but there you go, now't as strange as folk :p

To Buy or Not to Buy?

That's a very good question...

There have been a lot of questions in the past about when you should update your offers and how...

The simple answer is as soon as the GE database updates, because if you are queued for minimum, middle or maximum price you are obviously first in line.

Imagine if you will a system update, lets call it a prayer update for arguments sake and you are taking your time reading the documentation and take 30 minutes to get back to your game, if 50,000 people are already in the game then at least 30% of those have already scanned the important information and will have gotten their offers in.

Take prayer for instance, whenever there is an update requiring prayer you can almost be sure dragon bones will rise at least 5-10% so make sure you get them first.

If smithing is getting the treatment, gold ores will go up since it is again the fastest way to train.

Construction = oak planks (and maybe the occasional nail)

Slayer = black mask (non charged only)

Herblore = water filled vials (though with shop update this has less of an impact probably)

Crafting = green dragonhide, and to a lesser extent other colours

High level ranging = red chinchompa

Every single skill has its corresponding super training item that everyone descends upon, all you need to do is be ready and know what they are.

There have been rumours afoot lately of an upcoming smithing update, will you spend 4 hours asking everyone whether to buy gold ores cheap, waste your time and miss out or will you be one of the first to log back into the server and make a lot of money?

This goes for natural GE updates too, if you do some research and recognise what is going to be good the day after to buy without hardly looking you will have a distinct advantage. When I am choosing items to trade I will generally look 1-2 days in the future, I know what price they are likely to hit so can simply run into the Grand Exchange and make a lot of money due to being there first.

Make a list of your commonly traded items and bookmark them in your favourite browser, when update comes along all you need do then is load them all up and see what has risen and fallen. Simples.

Anyways, on that note I have just noticed that both gold ore and red chinchompa are nicely underpriced and should be due a rise sometime...Chinchompa being at its lowest point for 3 and a half months and gold ore being at a low it hasn't seen for months, possibly years.

I may write a new post later about the importance of speed when an update arrives or the GE updates itself, then again I may leave it until tomorrow, lol

I am also thinking about changing the background to my blog, as the greyish text on white can be awkward to see, so any recommendations will be noted and acted upon :)

I was just sort of wondering how the people I told about maple seeds did, I told various people to buy at mid+120 for 33k a day or two ago, I am just in the process now of selling for 35k, 5,347 of them making 10.6M

I also note that gold rings appear to be massively undervalued compared to the previous 6 months...I have bought myself about 20,000 of them upto now and am hoping for them to rise to 220-240 at least :)

I have not got any of these but I used to trade them regularly as when they find a general price range they tend to be very stable...teletabs, today more specifically Lumbridge ones for around 1040-1050, I don't know how close you will get to the minimum price but they are certainly worth the punt, 5k per four hours is the limit :)

This is one to watch not for this week, but in about 8-11 days when the price hits 5400gp, when black dragonhide chaps hit that price make sure you fall upon them like a pack of rabid guinea pigs as they will bounce back up into the stratosphere again, or at least to 5800.
